Slovakia has inducted the Barak MX under a €560 million deal with Israel Aerospace Industries, with the first battery deployed near critical nuclear infrastructure. The system is capable of intercepting a wide spectrum of aerial threats, including ballistic missiles up to 150 km, using extended-range interceptors. The acquisition plan includes up to six batteries by 2030, supported by Israeli technical assistance and phased integration. Already operational in Israeli naval and air defense networks, the system enhances layered defense capabilities. → This deployment significantly strengthens Slovakia’s protection of strategic assets and national airspace.
