India’s Pralay tactical missile program is gaining strategic importance as the armed forces increase their inventory of precision conventional strike systems. Developed domestically, the missile is designed to engage high-value targets deep behind enemy lines with high accuracy. With growing demand from both the Army and Air Force, authorities are exploring expanded manufacturing participation, including greater involvement from private industry. The move supports national objectives of strengthening domestic defence production while ensuring faster delivery of advanced missile systems. The missile’s role in future battlefield operations is expected to grow significantly as India enhances its long-range conventional strike capabilities.
