The US Air Force has awarded Kongsberg a $240.9 million contract for the second production lot of Joint Strike Missiles (JSMs). Designed specifically for the F-35, the stealth-compatible cruise missile fits within the aircraft’s internal weapons bay while delivering long-range precision strike capability. Derived from the Naval Strike Missile family, the JSM enables attacks against land and maritime targets at distances exceeding 350 kilometers. The contract supports growing demand from allied F-35 operators worldwide.
