Core Systems is joining forces with Lockheed Martin in a strategic bid to contribute to the US Department of Defense’s Golden Dome missile defense program. The initiative is designed to defend against advanced airborne threats, including hypersonic weapons and long-range ballistic missiles.
As part of its role, Core Systems will supply rugged rack-mounted infrastructure to support the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR), a crucial asset in the proposed architecture of the Golden Dome system.
The LRDR is expected to work in tandem with Lockheed’s TPY-6 and Sentinel A4 radar technologies, creating a multi-layered detection and response network for early threat identification and tracking.
This collaboration highlights growing industry efforts to fortify US missile defense systems through integrated technology partnerships and next-generation radar capabilities.
