Officials say the move would be a precautionary measure amid rising regional tensions linked to Middle East conflicts. Cyprus reported that the drone was likely launched by the Iran-backed group Hezbollah from Lebanon. Several European countries have since offered support to the island by sending air defense assets and other military assistance.
