NHIndustries has secured a €15 million contract from NAHEMA to study the NH90 Block 2 architecture, aiming to extend the platform’s relevance into the 2040s. The focus is on modular avionics, scalable systems, and improved maintenance frameworks to enhance fleet availability and reduce lifecycle costs. Block 1 upgrades already include Data Link 22, advanced IFF systems, new sensors, and expanded weapon compatibility.
