Lockheed Martin and L3Harris Technologies (via MAS) are establishing an F-35 sustainment depot in Mirabel, Quebec, to support Canada’s CF-35 fleet. The facility will service up to 88 aircraft, replacing aging CF-18 fighters. It will integrate with a domestic supply chain of around 30 companies, enhancing industrial participation and economic benefits. The initiative supports Canada’s push for operational sovereignty, reducing reliance on foreign maintenance networks. → Strengthens national defense autonomy while contributing to the global F-35 sustainment ecosystem.
