India and Russia are exploring a possible agreement involving the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter aircraft, including aircraft deliveries, local manufacturing, technology transfer, and integration of Indian systems. The proposal could support India’s goal of expanding indigenous aerospace capability while strengthening future air combat power. The Su-57E features stealth design, AESA radar, electronic warfare systems, internal weapon storage, and advanced networking capabilities. If finalised, the programme could significantly influence India’s future fighter fleet structure.
