The U.S. Navy has granted Textron Systems a $394.2 million contract to construct nine more LCAC 100-class Landing Craft Air Cushion vessels. This latest order follows an initial contract in August 2023 and a subsequent one in July 2024, which covered materials and preparatory work for up to five LCAC 100 units. Production of the new hovercraft fleet will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, along with other sites across the U.S., with completion expected by September 2030.
