India’s plan to acquire 114 advanced fighter aircraft under the MRFA tender is encountering a financial challenge. Six contenders remain in the race, including twin-engine and single-engine models from the U.S., Europe, and Russia. The local setup of production lines and skilled infrastructure significantly adds to overall costs.
