The US Air Force has awarded GE Aerospace a $5-billion contract to manufacture F110-GE-129 jet engines for foreign military sales. First introduced in 1992, the engine is used in fighter jets such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon. GE Aerospace will deliver engines, parts, and related services under the agreement, aiming to meet the changing needs of allied air forces around the world.
